Science based targets overview for companies

This webinar provides an overview of the Science Based Targets initiative, dive into developments in recent years such as the Net-Zero standards for corporates, explain the typical journey companies can expect from commitment to validation, talk about target setting criteria and methods, explore the available sector guidance for high-impact sectors and highlight useful resources.

The SBTi does not currently assess targets for public sector institutions, educational institutions, or non-profit organisations. However, SBTi encourages these stakeholders to consider science-based target setting methods on their own and if interested can listen to this webinar recording. SBTi encourages financial institutions and companies from all sectors and of all company sizes to join the movement and commit to setting a science-based target. They acknowledge differences between business areas, which is why they offer sector-specific guidance.
